Bowling at Chanel: Chance Eau Vive

chancechancelI find most perfume tv commercials a bit boring, but really how do you get the spirit of a scent on TV? The new Chanel 'Chance Eau Vive' campaign directed by Jean-Paul Goude  is so charming. It takes place in a Chanel styled bowling alley and all the models Cindy Bruna, Romy Schonberger, Rianne Van Rompaey and Sigrid Agren are in beautiful pastel skirts with crop tops in lace and black vests. The pins and bowling balls are all large perfume bottles - it feels magical.  If only all bowing alleys looked like this! Bowling alleys have had a resurgence and become fashionable (but not quite magical) and I've been to several press days and attended  few amazing parties at All Star Lanes.

Does the ad work? Does it make me want to run out and by Chance Eau Vive at £55? Well it does, I love perfume and summer is the perfect time to try a floral scent of vanilla with jasmine, iris and a hint of white musk!
The making of the advert is just as interesting as the commercial so it's worth a watch and it's not surprising to learn that the 1992, Vanessa Paradis Chanel bird cage commercial was also directed by Jean-Paul Goude!
