London Collections: Men - Designer Edward Crutchley

image After spending some time in Jakarta I've become more obsessed with textiles, so I was delighted to see Edward Crutchley's new menswear collection at Fashion East's Menswear Installations at London Collections: Men. You're immediately drawn to the hand dyed Indonesian ikats fabrics and the kyo yuzen  printing (it's screen printed onto cloth, not to be mistaken for a digital print). It's these techniques that make the collection very sports lux and with shapes are so easy to wear they can easily become a stable of anyone's wardrobe. Edward graduated from CSM having studied womenswear before becoming a textile design consultant working with Kanye West, Pringle of Scotland, Louis Vuitton, Richard Nicoll and Jevoni.imageimageimageimageimageimage
