I’m quite excited about going to the UK Music Video Awards 2011, the event takes place Empire Cinema in Leicester Square on November 8th. The event is in it’s 4th season and has over 20 categories as it honours and recongnizes the talent behind the scenes. For the first time MVAs will include categories for UK and international directors along with new director, producer and commissioner.

I was quite excited to style this video for Daniel Stephens and Joe Ray of Nero with Alana Watson doing vocals. Alana was wearing a dress designed by Georgia Hardinge.
It was a fun music video to style – over 20 actors in it, and a very cinematic feel – it was directed by Ben Newman and produced by Pulse Films, who are one of the biggest producers of music videos and commercials in the UK.

Love Cindy Blackman – the drummer. She’s so cool. She got her first professional drum kit when she was 14 and in 1993 she auditioned for Lenny Kravitz over the phone and has been working with him ever since. She’s also married to Carlos Santana. She’s recorded 9 albums with her own bands and she’s also played with lots of other artists including Al B. Sure, Jackie McLean,George Benson, Don Pullen, Angela Bofil and Joss Stone.
I’ve always liked Nicola Roberts and I quite like how she’s been dressing this past year. She looks like she’s having more fun and I think she looks great on the cover. She’s just launched her new album and now there’s a video of her single Beat Of My Drum. Although I like her look in general, I’m not too keen on her outfits in the video.
