The Subways have been on tour for several weeks and they played in London at Koko. I saw them play there several years ago when I first met them. It’s such an iconic venue and tonight was an iconic performance, every song is like an anthem and the fans go wild! I hadn’t seen Charlotte, Billy or Josh since our shoot about a month ago as they’ve been touring the UK so it was good to have a quick catch up before their performance!
We were watching from the Royal Box above the first balcony, and got a great chance to video Billy Lunn doing a stage dive right off the balcony! Watching the mosh pit from above was a great experience and total highlight of the evening. It was amazing how all the fans were jumping around in a random yet organized way like some seething organism and they were crowd surfing and roughing each other up (almost getting into fights!) while also singing every lyric to every song! True fans!

I’ve been tagged by The Fashion Assistant to reveal my seven spring songs. I’m not sure about seven spring songs besides it’s summer – and I’m not the kind of girl who lies around on the beach and dreams the day away. Anyway this is what I’ve been listening to:
Blondie – Sunday Girl
The Subways – Rock and Roll Queen
Santogold – Swtich and Graeme Remix
Lady Sovereign – Love me or Hate Me
White Lies – Death
The Kills – Love is a Deserter
Juliette and The Licks Are You Happy
No Picasso Monet Demo
I’m asking several other bloggers to list their top seven spring songs or just song that they like, I’m tagging:
The Covented, Michelle at My Fashion Life , Final Fashion , Queen Marie at Kingdom of Style , Auntie Fashion and The Cupcake Diary .

The Subways are known for their live performances and they don’t disappoint. They have so much energy and look like they’re having so much fun and of course the audience is totally captivated. Billy dived into the crowds during Turnaround and he also jumps of one of the balconies into his very loyal audience – you really have to believe in your fans to do that!! Oh Yeah was great and they played their new hit song Strawberry Blonde .
