I love Pink’s look in the video U + Ur Hand. I think she looks amazing and iconic. Pink might not have the most beautiful face in the world but that has nothing to do with her style power. Pink’s always has such a strong look and you always remember her. She’s done this from day one; she was memorable with her pink hair from her debut album Can’t Take Me Home.
So many new musician/girl bands are afraid to commit to a strong look or they don’t even have a look and that they just end up looking ordinary like everyone else and you forget them after meeting them.
It’s not easy to do such great make-up, especially for video or television. Each look probably takes about 3-4 hours!
When Dexter first came to the UK they launched an SMS-based viral marketing campaign. You’d receive a text from a private number with the following message:
"Hello (name). I’m heading to the UK sooner than you might think. Dexter."
British Style Genius is a new show airing this autumn. The event featured a 20-minute preview of the five-part series, with an introductory talk by BBC2 Controller, Roly Keating. I love fashion TV and I’ll watch any fashion program at least once. I just want to know what’s happening and be informed of fashion television as a trend.
I think it’s important to have programs that support and celebrate British fashion, especially when London Fashion Week was being squeezed. I heard comments this season that London Fashion Week was too commercial – to wearable…
Does this women look familiar? It’s the Editor of Drapers, Lauretta Roberts! (The mask was featured in the programme.)
Fashion journalist Phoebe Frangoul and my wonderful assistant Rosie!
Bloggers Unite! Denrele, Susie Bubble and me!
This jacket belongs to the King of vintage, the charming Mark Butterfield!
The party was in Camden Lock and we were treated to fruity vodka cocktails and more canapés than you could eat! It was a very festive event with lots of very cool fashion people.
This show was such a pleasure to work on. I think I’ve been walking around with a smile on my face for the past few weeks as I just love Inbar’s collection. Inbar is really a truly creative person and as her stylist I want to do the best job possible. We had wonderful models and the same creative team as last season: Lan Nguyen did the make up and Jan Przemyk headed the team from Toni and Guy. There is something very special about working with the same team. Inbar’s show was the closing show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout!
Jan had to spend quite a bit of time preparing the hair before the show – but it looked great in the end! For more information about the look and feel of the hair visit Toni&Guy.
The shoes are from the amazing Walter Steiger and they work perfectly with this collection! Walter Steiger designs his shoes in Italy with meticulous detail; I love all the heels and he does some wicked boots!
The finale dress was amazing – I saw this last dress being made – it was so intricate and so detailed. I’ll show you some full length images once I’ve received them.
I took these picture back stage on the television set. There’s a small screen backstage to watch the timings of the models on the runaway.
Inbar on the catwalk!
Me and Inbar after the show.
Update: Vogue.com - "INBAR SPECTOR is a designer to watch"
I know there are loads of fashion shows on tv at the moment and I’ve watched them all – and maybe there’s a bit over fashion over kill at the moment but I’m quite excited about Twiggy’s Fashion Trade. It’s is a new 3 part series for BBC2 which taps into the latest trend for clothes swapping parties! I’ve never been to a clothes swapping party – not officially but I have swapped clothes with friends. Anyway so many of us have wardrobes full great piece that we never wear for one reason or another – so why not swap them for something better & get expert advice at the same time! I think the show airs in September.
