I’m already looking forward to 2010 just to see the costumes in Tim Burton’s "Alice in Wonderland," with Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen – you just know it’s going to be unreal. The Red Queen’s head is huge – about 3x the size of her body! I imagine the caterpillar will be an extraordinary CGI character!

Johnny Depp – The Mad Hatter
Anne Hathaway – The White Queen
Michael Sheen – The Cheshire Cat
Helena Bonham Carter – The Red Queen
Alan Rickman – Caterpillar

I love a good car chase and Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof is all about that!
The film is about psychopathic stunt man, Kurt Russell who targets young women, murdering them with his "death proof" stunt car. I love the styling in the movie; Kurt Russell really looks like an old stunt driver left over from the 70’s and the girls look great; they are trashy, sexy and cheap without being trashy or cheap. They remind me a bit of the girls in Russ Meyer’s Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!.
The stunt women are super cool and a rare breed.
Zoe Bell, one of the main characters is also a stunt women, she was Xena and Uma Thurman’s stunt women in Kill BiIl. Tracy Dashnaw has been doing stunts since the early 80’s and was even Wonder Women’s stunt woman! Chrissy Weathersby is a black stunt woman – On the dvd Quentin Tarantino talks about how difficult it is to find a black stunt woman and how Chrissy will become the go-to girl of the future. I just think jobs like this are so cool!
This is the original skit shown during the 1996 VH1 Fashion Awards, which was then used as the basis for the movie, Zoolander. It was half written by Ben Stiller and off-screen interviewer Drake Sather, and half improvised on the set by all involved.
I really enjoyed watching Wim Wenders’ film Notebook On Cities And Clothes (1989): the story follows Yohji Yamamoto in Paris and Tokyo as he prepares for his Paris fashion show. The second image is a picture that I took of the film on my television screen. It’s a shot of Yohji Yamamoto editing all his clothes for his fashion show. I loved how he lays all the clothes out to see how they look together; it just seems like such a better method then using a rail!
I love going to costume houses and going through all the rails. I’m doing some prep work looking for some items for an upcoming video shoot for The Feeling!
These don’t even look like hats; they just look like huge ornaments or crazy big flowers but actually they’re hats. Some of these hats were used in the film Titanic! How cool is that!
