One of the best parts of my job is that I have the privilege to work with some of the finest luxury goods in the world. This Harry Winston Signature Lace timepiece has 629 diamonds totalling 21.59 carats. I once heard that if you give someone a watch they are yours forever. I like that idea. I think watches are amazing – I know we take it for granted but an object that can measure time, it’s truly astounding. And then, time fused to diamonds – an allotropes of carbon, the hardest natural material known – simple yet just so extraordinary.

I’m a contributing fashion editor at Luxure Magazine and this image is from a watch shoot that I styled for issue 3, which highlights this season’s jewellery and haute couture.

Luxure Magazine is a high-end fashion lifestyle publication that comes out in February and September. It’s a beautiful magazine: the front cover with its trademark wrap-round image was shot by guest contributor Robin Derrick and fashion director Alexia Somerville. Even the paper is luxurious as it’s wood free! You can find Luxure in London at RD Franks.

Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label show at London Fashion Week was a huge event and it took place at Earls Court’s Brompton Hall. It must have had a capacity for over a thousand people, so of course it was a star studded crowd with Pamela Anderson, Kate Moss, Erin O’Conner, Dita Von Teese, Emma Watson and Jamie Winstone just to name a few!
The collection was everything you’d expect from fringing, sequins, bright colours, PVC and the most stunning hats by Prudence Millinery. The hat’s were my favourite part; there were oversized hats & sun visors in gold, dresses with hoods and cloches type hats. You can see all the looks on Vogue.com
Of course the message is just as important as the clothes. We were given the Active Resistance to Propaganda – Manifesto Vivienne Westwood. On the credit list we are reminded that "Leonard Peltier has been in prison for 31 years for a crime he did not commit.."
Before the show I met up with the gorgeous Jessica Bumpus, one of the fashion writers for Vogue.com. She’s one of those girls who is effortlessly cool with her strawberry blond hair and red lips.

So many people!!!

Alexia of Luxure Magazine looking fabulous!

I’m not a fan of fake tans – it seem kind of cheap to me, I know it’s a look, a style that so many people love and some people do look better with a tan – just not an orange fake tan… Anyway a red head should have beautiful porcelain skin like Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts. I spotted her at the show and asked if I could take her photo – I just love her red hair! Nicola’s recently started her own make up line – Dainty Doll. I love the packaging and it’s in every goody bag this London Fashion Week!

I really like attending On|Off - there are so many new designers there – I say new but many of them have been designing for years. The venue is set up in a very welcoming way: you feel free to look at a collection and chat with the designer and of course it’s a beautiful venue.
There’s a bus right near the V&A that drops you off right in front of the Royal Academy of Arts, so it’s very easy to get there after seeing a show at the BFC tent.

Lee Lapthorne at the final day of On|Off -this was the first break he’s had in weeks! He’s the creative director and producer of On Off.

Deborah Henning: I really liked Deborah’s first collection, so it great to see her at On Off! All of her garments are manufactured in the UK, they’re well made, feminine and slightly edgy!

Kerry Nixon is the sweetest and most lovable girl that you’ll ever meet. She also has a super cute accent and is wearing one of Rizvis’ headpieces! She’s one half of Vidler and Nixon – Stefan Vidler is the other half. Cinched waistlines and full skirts – dramatic silhouettes – are their trademark with key pieces including their full-skirted ‘Marie’ coat – which I have been wearing in my dreams. I think I actually dress better in my dreams. And yes, I do dream about fashion…

Richard Sorger creates luxury beaded and embroidered garments. They are quite stunning and I just used one of his dresses in Luxure Magazine. Richard’s celebrity clients include Courtney Love, Cindy Crawford, Bjork, Kirsten Dunst and Jennifer Lopez – quite the list!! And now he’s off to exhibit in Paris!

Yasmin Rizvi makes great hats so of course we couldn’t resist and had to try them all on!

Courtney Blackman & I are going to have a private hat party!!
This is Nina from Nina and Lola – Nina looks great in hats but Lola (not here today doesn’t really wear hats…) Nina is one of my favourite people – you might think I have a lot of favourite people and it’s true I do – but really the list isn’t that long – beside why would I want to know people that I don’t love and adore -life is short right? Anyway Nina is very cool and fun to hang out with – she’s sussing out clothes for her on-line shop Nina and Lola.

This shoot was for Luxure Magazine. I was really happy to do a shoot for Luxure because I adore the Fashion Director, Alexia Somerville. She’s an amazing stylist and has a really good eye for spotting new talent. The shoot was about "The Ones To Watch" so we focused on several up-and-coming designers. The team is also so worth watching. Hamilton Stansfield is a great hair stylist, he actually reminds me of a rock god (I think he is a rock god…) I ran into him back stage at Prince, and his client list is endless (Nicole Kidman, Linda Evangelista, Cate Blanchett…). Alex Babsky has made up every famous face from Naomi Campbell to Victoria Beckham. He’s a genius, and so generous with his make-up advice. I really loved the make-up he did on Poline, her eyes looked so amazing that I couldn’t stop looking at her! I loved her look, it was a cross between Cindy Lou Hoo and Sandra Dee! I’d been wanting to work with Carlos again for ages and we were just waiting for the right project. It’s important to work with someone that you really trust because you know whatever they do it’s going to be great!
One of the things I like most about my job is that I have the opportunity be in the company of such talented people!
