Everyone has bought underwear but how many have returned underwear that has been worn? The very thought is disgusting. A US investigation conducted by The Today Show tells us that it’s possible that we are buying underwear that’s been worn and returned directly to the shop floor. Fortunately in the UK many shops don’t allow underwear to be returned – including Primark and American Apparel – which is a good thing! Wash your ‘new’ knickers before you wear them!
Today I noticed a man in the tube that was dressed head to toe in D&G. You could tell he loved his outfit. OK, he wasn’t nearly as fab as the D&G underwear model but he was tall and slim and suited the brand. I wish I had a picture to show you but sometimes I just don’t feel right stepping into someone’s personal space and taking a photo.
He was listening to music and grooving in his own little world. The branding was subtle but it was there. Sunglasses logos are rarely understated, but the shoes, jeans and jacket only had a small but recognizable logo.
I rarely see anyone in head to toe branding except models on the catwalk and the occasional small dog. This man did have his own style, and he really did love his look (you could tell he did) and he really went for it. I’m not one to dress head to toe in a brand but what I do like is when someone is committed to their style. I don’t have to like their taste but I do admire people who take a risk and commit!
It’s starting to feel cooler and it’s definitely autumn, and I like to be cosy. You might not think of me as a flannel-pyjama-wearing kind of girl, but I am – and I’m picky about how soft the flannel is. Most of my pyjamas come from John Lewis but this was the first time I ordered them online and they are perfect!
John Lewis just launched their website, selling fashion brands online, and it’s quite good. (I’ve heard Selfridges is launching a site soon too!) I’m very much in favour of shopping online. Clothing I find quite easy to purchase but I do like to know as much detail as possible and I really like when sites include the fabric and washing instructions. I think M&S has been doing this for some time and luxury sites seem to have the most detailed copy. Anyway there are very few sites where I could buy a sewing machine, some pin boxes and flannel pyjamas but John Lewis’ site is one of them!
No girl wants wrinkly cleavage, as it can age you more than anything.
Dita Von Teese says her greatest beauty secret is to stay away from sunshine: "I never go sunbathing. My worst fear is looking down and seeing brown, wrinkly cleavage. It will get white and wrinkly, but there is no need to rush it." (source)
Wrinkles between and above the breasts are caused by sun damage, so wear sunscreen, but wrinkles can also be caused by your sleeping habits, especially if you sleep on your side.
I’m not too sure if I’d use either of these products but they’re out there if your afraid of cleavage wrinkles!
There is the The Intimia™ Breast Pillow. it’s a bit like a bra but with out the cups and it doesn’t matter what position you sleep in it moves with the body.
The second product is Kush support and it seems like you have to be a true-side sleeper for it to work!
