I recently have been collecting many trinket necklaces. Odds and sods have been an obsession of mine for quite a while, but now to my delight I realise there are so many more pieces I can find to make quirky accessories!
Spoons – now who really thought one year ago a teaspoon would be even remotely cool. Well, they are now! After pondering around Brick Lane market I found the jewellery stand "Never" and it’s my best find of the year (so far)! Everything they sell is beautifully wonderful and whimsical that you could put on a chain – from broken watch faces, spoons and more. NEVER sells beautiful one-off vintage jewellery pieces. So I have began collecting their pieces.

The teaspoons are my favourite but there’s anchors, bullets – something for everyone’s quirky side. I found they make really great gifts; my friend was thrilled with his.

As much as I would like to hate Lady Gaga she is helping bring back the quirky side in everyone’s lives. So she likes teacups, I like teaspoons! It’s a weird and wonderful world! Check out Never on http://www.myspace.com/wearenever or head over and find them at the BACKYARD MARKET, Brick Lane, every Saturday and Sunday. Also they are at the boutique shop BLUE MUKET, 188 Brick Lane, every day.

I love when a celebrity or public figure wears a hidden gem. It’s so easy to play it safe and chose a well known designer. I think you have to have true style and confidence to wear something just because you like it, and I think it’s great because naturally I want all the small designers I know to become big designers.
Michelle Obama has been wearing everyone from Michael Kors to Jason Wu (he designed her inaugural gown – he’s only 26 and had no idea Mrs. Obama was going to wear the gown until he saw it on TV) and now Pieter Erasmus’ necklace!
Pieter Erasmus is the designer behind ST•ERASMUS. He has cultivated a style which combines traditional techniques with contemporary forms and materials. His designs are steeped in cross-cultural inspiration, an african-european fusion. Pieter has designed jewellery for Givenchy, Matthew Williamson and Roberto Cavalli. I really like his braclets as they have a vintage inspiration but also feel very modern.

I love these necklaces – in a way they are more like a collar. There are so many looks you can create with them! A statement necklace like this can spice up a little black dress or dress up a black t-shirt and skinny jeans.
I’m not sure which necklace I love the most, maybe the last image, but since my hair is a bit redish the first would look great too.
The trend of feathers and fringe is continuing but these necklaces are such a statement that they don’t seem to be about trends – it’s more about one’s own personal style.

These feather and gemstone necklaces start at about $800USD and can be bought online at www.sophisticatedstones.com.

One of the best parts of my job is that I have the privilege to work with some of the finest luxury goods in the world. This Harry Winston Signature Lace timepiece has 629 diamonds totalling 21.59 carats. I once heard that if you give someone a watch they are yours forever. I like that idea. I think watches are amazing – I know we take it for granted but an object that can measure time, it’s truly astounding. And then, time fused to diamonds – an allotropes of carbon, the hardest natural material known – simple yet just so extraordinary.

I’m a contributing fashion editor at Luxure Magazine and this image is from a watch shoot that I styled for issue 3, which highlights this season’s jewellery and haute couture.

Luxure Magazine is a high-end fashion lifestyle publication that comes out in February and September. It’s a beautiful magazine: the front cover with its trademark wrap-round image was shot by guest contributor Robin Derrick and fashion director Alexia Somerville. Even the paper is luxurious as it’s wood free! You can find Luxure in London at RD Franks.

Pearls have always been fashionable but they do come and go. Just remember, these are not your grandmother’s pearls but oh wouldn’t you be so lucky if they were! Expect to see more pearls this season, and layered up. In times of turmoil we look for stability and pearls are just perfect for that. It’s about luxury but not indulgent luxury – refined luxury.
Love this classic chic look. You have to be young and fresh to make this look work!

Monsoon’s Phoebe Statement Necklace only £22.00.

Loving these layers of contrasting pearls, the Pearl Cluster Necklace is available at Jaegar £99.00.

Super chic- I think that layers of pearls like this is a much harder look to pull off. You have to have a sense of style and fun to work these long layers. Of course model agent Carley Meagor totally rocks this look!
