New Girl Crush - Sweet Caroline

Chanel_PFW_Ready_Wear_Fall_Winter_2011_Photocall_Caroline Sieber New Girl Crush - Sweet CarolineCaroline? Caroline who? I may hear you ask.

Why she is my newest girl of the moment. We all know I’m a huge fan of Olivia Palermo but well, she hasn’t been seen since her London Fashion Week trip and well I need a new Girl Crush to take her place while she’s MIA.

When Caroline Sieber attended the Chanel show in Paris earlier this week she looked the best by far. Alexa, yes still fab and yes she was clutching the most amazing Chanel hamper bag type type thing but it was Sieber who rocked the front row. Looking every inch the trendsetting stylist she is (she is Emma Watsons go-to girl). Wearing a two piece Chanel suit (of course) in a vibrant shade of red teamed with a pair of gorgeous nude coloured Louboutin sandals. Her hair and make-up simple and unfussed. Elegance personified.

If truth be told I didn’t know much about this girl either, but after a few clicks I found out that apparently Sieber came to London from Vienna to be an accountant. However it’s obvious that number-crunching took a backseat to being a ‘Brand Ambassador’ for Chanel (nice gig if you can get it!) She’s now a permanent fixture on the front row, she made the top 10 in Tatlers Best Dressed list and she’s a regular on the posh party circuit. She counts Balenciaga, Balmain, Yves Saint Laurent, Charles Anastase, Burberry Prorsum, and Chanel—naturally!—as her favourite designers and brands. Oh and she also loves Krispy Kreme doughnuts - with her figure? Who knew!?!

What I love the most about this girl is how she dodges anything that is too trendy or polished, she accessorises her outfits with tough harsh accents such as leather belts and heavy heels but then adds a girly touch whether it be a cocktail ring or a jewelled headband.

While I’m still not 100% sure about how she makes a living or have a firm understanding of her client list. I am still quite certain that Sieber is the perfect embodiment of the classic Chanel ethos: modern, independent, iconic, confident, and above all else, effortlessly chic!

xoxo

Shoplifting at Chanel

Posted by Rebekah Roy on December 21st, 2009

During the past couple of years we’ve read about lots of luxury shops being victims of the smash-and-grab raiders - it almost felt like if your shop wasn’t a target you weren’t fashionable anymore.

The Anya Hindmarch shop near Bond Street was been targeted several times, Watches of Switzerland, which sells Breitling, Cartier and Franck Muller watches, has been raided twice, Dolce & Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, Graff Diamonds, Roger Vivier, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Sonia Rykiel, Jimmy Choo, Aspery, Gucci, Cartier, De Beers, Tiffany’s Tod’s,  Mulberry and Chanel have all been attacked.(source)

Karl Lagerfeld has taken this one step further with his new short movie Vol de Jour, Lara Stone and Baptiste Giabiconi steal from every Chanel store in Paris!

Chanel Mania

Posted by Leanne Bayley on July 31st, 2009

Oh how I do adore Chanel; the quilted bags, the pearls, the perfume. Hell, I even love the carrier bags. I’m so excited to see the film, released today in cinemas nationwide. Coco Chanel is someone I greatly admire; she freed women from the constraints of corsets and allowed women to breathe in black. She was, in retrospect a feminist and changed the way we see fashion forever.

To celebrate the release of the movie, Queens of Noise organised the first ever fashion Chanel Flash Mob at London’s St. Pancras station last night and boy was it a success. Josie Gealer from ELLEuk.com went along with her camera to snap away all the fabulous Chanel inspired outfits, click here to see the best of the bunch.

Fashion and vintage lovers sported their finest Chanel (or Chanel-look-a-likes’) at yesterday’s fash mob. Quilted bags, Chanel No 5 perfume, tweed jackets and little black dresses were everywhere.

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.

There’s something very zen about this video - if you just relax and watch it it’s insightful somehow. We usually only see models like Lara Stone in still or quick edits in a video or fashion show exerpt, so it’s nice to see a long video of her - you actually get a chance to see glimpses of her as opposed to the model Lara Stone
