I just happened to pass by this crochet exibition. It’s not often that one comes across a crochet exibition – this is the first one I’ve ever seen and I just had to go in. It’s Olek’s first UK exibition as she’s based in New York. The exhibition took 6 months to prepare. You have to look closely to see all the objects as everything has a camouflage effect. It’s a small busy space with quite a provactative title "I do not expect to be a mother but I do expect to die alone".

Tony’s Gallery – 68 Sclater Street unitl March 23rd 2012. Wednesday through Sunday, 11am-7pm

Cruella De Vil is a true style icon with her white and black hair, white mink cloak with tight long dresses worn with bright coloured gems. She has definitely inspired many people for Halloween, and many others in their day-to-day look. Beyond Retro has a great display – get the look: Cruella De Vil!

123 Bethnal Green Road is one of my favourite shops. Its supports many young designers, including designers that I’ve worked with like Alice Palmer and Ada Zandition. The shop is a grade II listed building and it has four floors. The first time I went to 123 it was for the Amelia Magazine book launch and the event was in the Bunker Cafe, which is in the basement. Since then the back room on the ground floor is now a pop up shop presently featuring Bolongaro Trevor. The pop up shop changes on a regular basis and there is always new stock so it’s always worth visiting 123 to see what’s new!
