This year Graduate Fashion Week will take place May 31st  – June 3rd at the Truman Breweries on Brick Lane. It was my first visit to the Houses of Parliament – it’s an amazing building and thereContinue reading

Today I went to visit several markets as I was looking for some sports socks for a shoot that I’m styling, so I went to Cheshire Street just off  Brick Lane but the sock vendor was all out of white socks so I thought I’d head off to Petticoat Market to look for socks butContinue reading

Is toast back, has it become popular again? You can get cheese on toast at Rough Trade and even Dishoom offers a Chilli Cheese Toast – Cheddar melt on white bloomer. I keep meeting people who are so anti toast and anti carbs – it’s become so fashionable and almost a bit of a status symbol toContinue reading

So much fun backstage at Bjorn Borg + MTV Staying Alive. It really was a party backstage – after several very full days of organizing and sorting, once the music was booming it was really just a dancefest backstage! These are happy clothes so you can’t help but have fun in them and at theContinue reading

Underground is a British footwear brand who makes authentic, rock ‘n’ roll-inspired shoes.  I’ve used them in shoots and put them on the feet of several musicians. I love the crazy colour combos of their shoes, that are bright and quirky. Underground’s original creepers were first worn by new romantics, goths and new wavers inContinue reading

I’ve been trying to do things that I don’t normally do. It’s doesn’t matter if it’s a big experience or something small as long as it’s not part of my every day routine. I don’t even remember the last time I had a hotdog, it’s not really something I’d eat but the ‘Big Apple Hotdog‘Continue reading

I just happened to pass by this crochet exibition. It’s not often that one comes across a crochet exibition – this is the first one I’ve ever seen and I just had to go in. It’s Olek’s first UK exibition as she’s based in New York. The exhibition took 6 months to prepare. You haveContinue reading

Girls out on a Saturday night! Everyone else is actually wearing coats and scarves – these girls didn’t even have coats.

Today I was fabric shopping on Brick Lane and I noticed this scissor plaque on the pavement in front of 104 Brick Lane. It’s called a rondel and they were designed by Keith Bowler in 1995 to celebrate East London’s history.

Cruella De Vil is a true style icon with her white and black hair, white mink cloak with tight long dresses worn with bright coloured gems. She has definitely inspired many people for Halloween, and many others in their day-to-day look. Beyond Retro has a great display – get the look: Cruella De Vil!

123 Bethnal Green Road is one of my favourite shops. Its supports many young designers, including designers that I’ve worked with like Alice Palmer and Ada Zandition. The shop is a grade II listed building and it has four floors. The first time I went to 123 it was for the Amelia Magazine book launchContinue reading
