Diane Von Furstenberg teamed up with DC Comics and wrote her own comic book, Be the Wonder Woman You Can Be, Featuring the Adventures of Diva, Viva & Fifa. It’s about the fulfillment and empowerment of women. DVF says: "If I have any mission in life… it is to empower women"

As a little girl I loved the tv show Wonder Women with Linda Carter. I thought she was great – I love her costume – her boots, her tiara and her golden rope. She was sexy and powerful.

By 1975, DVF was making 15,000 wrap dresses a week! Wonder Women!!!

DVF was her signing her book in her Mayfair shop, I realized I was starring at her because her hair reminded me of Wonder Women’s!
Diane Von Furstenberg on plastic surgery: "I know that a lot of people look at me and think, ‘Why doesn’t she do something to that face?’ But I made a decision. I do yoga and I hike, but I won’t do Botox … I know if I start doing things I will get insecure." [British Vogue]

The proceedes from the comic book , the special edition T-shirt , and the tote will benefit Vital Choices, a company that helps to empower women. I love the t-shirt. I’ve never been a big t-shirt fan but lately I can’t seem to get enough of them.

Forbes.com: What do you wear to feel powerful?
DVF: Hiking boots.

Diane Von Furstenberg won Drapers 2008, Womenswear Brand of the Year!

Lately whenever I go outside my feet and ankles have been freezing. I think I was resisting wearing boots as that would mean it was winter. I took the plunge and I recently got a pair of everyday boots – Cushe IT Lace Boots from OnShoes.com.

I always thought it was a bit tricky buying footwear online but these boots end up being perfect! I wore them all day at a shoot and I didn’t have sore feet! I do expect boots to be more comfortable than shoes but these were also so warm as they’re lined with Sherling lambs wool! Whoo, no freezing ankles!!
One of the things that I really liked about OnShoes.com was their return policy!
"We offer a no quibble, 365 day return policy, so if you are not happy with the quality, fit or any aspect of your shoe, you can return it without any problems.
Unlike some other retailers, we do not charge a “restocking” fee. You are responsible for the postage costs when returning items (unless faulty) but we will dispatch your replacement item(s) for free (UK orders only)."

You might not recognize these men’s shoes as Dr. Martens but I think they’re going to be very popular!

You can expect the unexpected in British fashion! Love these white 14-eye icon boots designed by the renowned British wallpaper designer, Louise Body! They will be available at Dr. Marten stores for only £110 in February 2009. You can also see Louise’s wallpaper in the archive collection of the V&A.

Some things are not for everyone, but isn’t that what fashion is all about – personal style? Well, I love these Chanel shoes and yes if I had the chance I would wear them. They are sequine goatskin open-toed shoes with a light bulb as a heel that actually works!

Over-the-knee statement boots. You’ll have seen them at: Badgley Mischka, Akris, Fendi and Halston. On the high street check out Office. These boots are easier to wear than you think. Wear it with a longer skirt, skinny jeans, leggings or tights. Should you buy a pair? Will you see them around next season? You will but wear them well. A soft earthy colour will work great with Boho Chic and Black Suede will look great with Romantic Goth. Just be chic, elegant not cheap don’t think Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman….

Although not my favourite you’ll see lots of fringe at Gucci, Balmain, Anna Sui and this pair is from Christian Louboutin. On the high street check out Aldo’s. Fringe is all about personal style and it takes someone with true style to make this look work. It’s more than just your everyday Boho; take it to the next level and think hippy luxe.

The shoe boot has been around for a couple of seasons, but they are so versatile they have staying power. Will you see them next season? Why wait? I love this Fendi boot with the bronze trim, £385.00 at Browns. If the high street’s more your style River Island has a large selection. We know ankle boots look great with jeans but wear them with opaque tights and dresses for an autumn look.
