Diane Von Furstenberg teamed up with DC Comics and wrote her own comic book, Be the Wonder Woman You Can Be, Featuring the Adventures of Diva, Viva & Fifa. It’s about the fulfillment and empowerment of women. DVF says: "If I have any mission in life… it is to empower women"

As a little girl I loved the tv show Wonder Women with Linda Carter. I thought she was great – I love her costume – her boots, her tiara and her golden rope. She was sexy and powerful.

By 1975, DVF was making 15,000 wrap dresses a week! Wonder Women!!!

DVF was her signing her book in her Mayfair shop, I realized I was starring at her because her hair reminded me of Wonder Women’s!
Diane Von Furstenberg on plastic surgery: "I know that a lot of people look at me and think, ‘Why doesn’t she do something to that face?’ But I made a decision. I do yoga and I hike, but I won’t do Botox … I know if I start doing things I will get insecure." [British Vogue]

The proceedes from the comic book , the special edition T-shirt , and the tote will benefit Vital Choices, a company that helps to empower women. I love the t-shirt. I’ve never been a big t-shirt fan but lately I can’t seem to get enough of them.

Forbes.com: What do you wear to feel powerful?
DVF: Hiking boots.

Diane Von Furstenberg won Drapers 2008, Womenswear Brand of the Year!

I loved so many of the clothes from this collection. Harriet’s Muse isn’t about trends – each collection they continue to develop their style and take it to the next level! Here are some of the looks from the show.
Craig Spellar & Cheryl Partington named this jacket the "Rebekah Jacket"! It’s the first time I’ve had something named after me how cool is that!!
Erika is also one of my favourite models – she’s just so much fun!!

This leather corset is so beautiful – I just know it’s going to be seen in a really cool editorial – what stylist could resist such a show piece!

So sexy!

I think this biker inspired jacket is quite cool. Holly looks great in it and so did I, and I’m only 5′ 2". It’s always interesting to see how a garment fits, seeing it in print or on the cat walk is one thing and trying it on a real person can be totally different. Fortunately Karen designs for real women. I’ve also had my eye on the Kitty Cat dress too- it’s so cute! There is something very sexy about this collection the fabrics drape beautifully so you feel very feminine yet strong.

I love the lips. Rachel Wood used Frenched Red lipstick from Benefit and a ton of clear gloss!

Jan Przemyk headed the team from Toni & Guy. The inspiration for the hair was 1970’s Karen Carpenter – centre parting and curls from mid-length to ends maintaining straight roots for a multi-textured feel.

Back stage is always bustling with excitement and Karen Brost’s show was no exception. Rachel Wood of Benefit did the make -up and Yan Przemy from Toni and Guy did the hair. I’ve worked with both of these people before which is important because you really need to trust & have confidence in your team! We had 10 models for 30 looks which is quite typical. Every show would like more models but you always have to consider your budget. There were a couple of quick changes but the dressers were fast and did a great job. Everyone is under quite a bit of pressure because of the time constraints, we had several models coming from other shows but several of our models were even early! In the end as it always does (and only because you’ve put in all the prep time) everything comes together and the girls looked great. I’ll post some images tomorrow!

I’m a skin care and mascara addict but when I’m on a shoot I love to ask the make-up artist for some tips – who knows better than a working professional!
Celebrity make-up Rachel Wood shares her Top 5 Beauty Trends for Autumn/Winter 08!
1- Brows, groomed but full, put away your tweezers and say hello Brooke Shields circa 1980 style brows to frame your peepers! Use one of the many fab coloured brow gels out there to keep them tamed but think more Jennifer Connolly then Marlene Dietrich when giving them shape.
2- Full on Colour for Lips, for this A/W I’m really into cream or satin textures that have vibrant colour rather than a metallic or shimmer that diffuses colour…save that gloss for the Spring. Hues of Cherry Red, Funky Fuchsia and Breakfast at Tiffany’s Orange add a bit of brightness to dull winter skin.
3- Glam Balm by Rodial- this all purpose wonder product has about a 100 different uses, love it for the models over worked dry skin back stage when working on the shows for Fashion week, it plumps up lips and I love it dabbed around my eyes when flying. Glam Balm rehydrates where you need it most. For make-up ideas add a touch of shimmery loose eye shadow pigment and blend on the eyes or cheekbones for glossy colour. (Hmm, I keep hearing about this product, it’s £62.00 but I just might have to try it!)
4-Bad Gal Lash Plum- by Benefit. Plum and purples are huge this season and this mascara gives a touch of brightness to your eye colour plus the thick juicy brush that gives rock star lashes…I can’t wait till this new product hits the shelves!
5- Goth but not as we know it, moody mysterious eyes, subtle greys, blended black liner and put away the fake tan, skin: keep it pale and interesting!
