I’ve been looking forward to the opening of Boxpark for some time now. I was quite curious to see what it was really going to be like, and the wait’s over! It opens tomorrow and will have over 60 brands. It’s located opposite Shoreditch House and Shoreditch High Street station and the space has been unused for 40 years. Boxpark is actually a pop up mall and can literally pop up anywhere in the world as all the compartments can be moved. There are quite a few interesting retailers and because shops can have a one-year lease for up to 5 years it allows for some unusual brands like Onepiece. There are lots of streetwear brands – 55DSL, Nike, Puma, Lacoste L!ve, Dockers, Luke, ONETrueSaxon, New Era, Vans, Oakley, The North Face and Etnies, which is not surprising since Roger Wade, the founder of Boxfresh, came up with the Boxpark concept.

On the second level there are loads of food shops and picnic tables and benches. The whole space has a modern market feel. It’s just interesting to see how everyone has designed their ‘boxes’ and created their own unique look.

At Nike you can buy a pair of Nike ID shoes downstairs and watch them get made upstairs. Nike has one of the biggest ‘boxes’ 1 downstairs and 4 boxs upstairs.

How cute is this shop – Onepiece, which sells cozy jumpsuits and they’re actually cool!

The Sunday Roast, to some, is considered a cure for the over indulgences of a Saturday night but really it’s a time to enjoy family and friends and of course catch up on all the weekend magazines! One of the things that I like about a traditional meal is all the memories attached to food! My grandmother always seemed to be making pototoes, peas and gravy, and my father would delight in Yorkshire pudding. I feel like I’m usually eating Pret while running from one meeting to the next so it’s just nice to actually sit down and enjoy a meal, although it’s surprising how many calories one can take in during an average Sunday Roast!

I saw this house in East London and thought it just looked so pretty and festive. It must have been decorated for a wedding.

Now that London Fashion Week is all over I can catch up on some posts and one of my favourite experiences was a rickshaw ride! It’s not too difficult to get around at London Fashion Week as most shows are quite central but St Martin’s Lane Hotel was offering rickshaw rides from the hotel to Somerset House so I thought I’d go for the ride. I’d never been on a rickshaw before and they always look so fun when I see them passing by, and it was fun but I felt quite vulnerable and had fears of falling off but it was worth it!

I can’t believe the rain in London. Sometimes it feels like you’re on a movie set and you’re just waiting for a bus or a big 4×4 to come by and splash you (A Sex in the City moment.) This mini lake was right in front of TopShop and they had just finished the road works but they forgot a drain!
