This is a viral ad for the fashion ecommerce website Alto Clothing, which specializes in clothing for tall men (and if you can wear a 38" inseam, you are tall!).
Viral ads are special: the point is to grab your attention no matter what, and this will definitely stick in your head – warning: it’s not for the squeamish!
The ad was created by Neoco, a digital marketing company in London.
Gibson Hall was built in 1865 and named after its architect, John Gibson. It’s a beautiful Victorian building and the entire interior has been restored. It’s considered one of the greatest of the City’s banking halls and this was the first time it was used for a fashion event which made the evening just that much more special.
It’s great to have something special just for men. For women there are often manicures, make-up artists, even tea cup readers – but men seem to get a bit neglected at PR events. Not at this one! How many men have the chance to have a wet shave from a professional barber and general facial pampering? The Smirnoff Black and Hugo Boss Boutique Barbers offered a shave during the evening using premier skin care products from Hugo Boss as part of this traditional shave.
I can just envision city boys wearing Hugo Boss suits enjoying a shave!
The interior is elegant, stylish & sophisticated and has imposing Corinthian marble columns with beautiful crystal chandeliers. I just couldn’t help but feel a bit giddy – maybe it was the yummy Smirnoff Black Collins cocktail, prepared by a professional clean shaven (handsome) Smirnoff bartender!
I really enjoy going to events like this; you get see places that you would never normally go to and you just feel lucky!
The Smirnoff Black Boutique Barberswith Hugo Boss is available at selected Hugo Boss stores in London for the month of November and December. The boutiques are open 2pm – 8pm Thursdays, and 2pm – 7pm Friday to Saturday. Tickets are £15.00, and the shave also includes a cocktail! You can book a shave by calling 079 3126 5015.
I love London and Montreal. They have several things in common: 24 hour bagel shops and cool fashion. I don’t miss the winters in Montreal but I do miss its passion & style. When I miss Montreal I’ll head off to Brick Lane for a bagel cream cheese or salt beef, then I’ll go for a coffee & people watch. It’s a good place to be inspired. There are some of the coolest & most interestingly dressed people in the world on Brick Lane. Of course it’s what we expect with massive vintage shops like Beyond Retro and Absolute Vintage and new designers to be discovered in The Laden Showroom!
Up and coming girl band Stonefoxx performed their media showcase at the Soho Revue Bar to a full house!
So many elements are involved in making/creating/developing of a girl band. You have to have the right girls, the right management, the right music and sound, the right production and the right look and style. So many elements need to come together! Stonefoxx has already been around for several years and has even toured with Shane Ward! It’s tough competition with new bands like The Saturdays and other unsigned bands like Atlanta all wanting to be the next big thing.
These are some key looks from Karen Brost’s Spring Summer 09 collection titled Regal on the Riveria.
I think this biker inspired jacket is quite cool. Holly looks great in it and so did I, and I’m only 5′ 2". It’s always interesting to see how a garment fits, seeing it in print or on the cat walk is one thing and trying it on a real person can be totally different. Fortunately Karen designs for real women. I’ve also had my eye on the Kitty Cat dress too- it’s so cute! There is something very sexy about this collection the fabrics drape beautifully so you feel very feminine yet strong.
I love the lips. Rachel Wood used Frenched Red lipstick from Benefit and a ton of clear gloss!
Jan Przemyk headed the team from Toni & Guy. The inspiration for the hair was 1970’s Karen Carpenter – centre parting and curls from mid-length to ends maintaining straight roots for a multi-textured feel.
