I had the pleasure of meeting the charming duo behind Fyodor Golan, Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman, at their press day. I used one of their dresses in our last issue of Phoenix and saw their winning collection this season at Fashion Fringe at Covent Garden! I thought their collection was so beautiful – I can’t wait to use it for my shoots. There is lots of texture and thousands of tiny lazer cut petals that are reminisant of impressionistic paintings.
Fyodor graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2007 and and Golan graduated from the Istituto Marangoni in 2008. After working at Issey Miyake and Alexander McQueen respectivley, they launched Fyodor Golan in February 2010 for their first show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout. Fyodor said the only person that he would allow to to draw on his illustraions is Golan and that they work well as they are true opposites.

The show at Fashion Fringe and the very beautiful Claudia Schiffer.

…our shoot for Phoenix magazine, with Leah Weller in Fyodor Golan:

Today I went to visit Emily Baxendale of Emily London at her show room. Emily studied at London College of Fashion and a few years later in 2008 she set up her own label. Emily London creates both ready to wear and bespoke collections. She has also done exclusive cocktail collections for Fenwick and she designs for Jaeger and Aquascutum. I chose some wonderful hats for Ascot!
