Pitch Perfect 2 - modern day girl power!

I was at a preview screening for Pitch Perfect 2 last night, and it's a great way to see a movie - the screening room at the May Fair Hotel was huge and the picture and sound were state-of-the-art. The movie was fun, well-made, and had girl power and feminism written all over it only in what I think is a very modern way - i.e. you don't have to call it girl power or feminism. It's just about girls figuring out who they are and what they're going to do with their lives.pitchperfect2previewElizabeth Banks (from the Hunger Games films, Scrubs, 30 Rock etc. etc.) directed the film, which is pretty amazing given that it had a relatively large budget of $45,000,000 and she has a relatively short resume as a director. The studio was smart to pick her though - she did a great job! There aren't a lot of fun films like this where the directing and editing actually catch my attention, but this film is really well done. She was charming and funny in introducing the movie - and there was an unexpected surprise when all of a sudden Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace were whisked in quickly to their seats just as the film was about to start.elizabeth_banks_pitch_perfect_2_screeningWhen I arrived I was all of a sudden brought by a PR in front of the waiting photographers - it's best when that happens suddenly as there's no time to get nervous!'Pitch Perfect 2' Screening
