Sometimes I find it hard to tell when it’s the weekend – I find one day just seems to roll into the next. I’ve decided to make a conscious effort that when I do have a weekend or even just one day off to take advantage of it. I love that in my neighbourhood there are so many weekend events that I can go to, and every Sunday is the . It’s been around since the 1860s and there are now lots of galleries and cafes on the street. Many of them are open quite early so you can have a bacon bap and a latte for breakfast.

It’s fun to decorate the house in poinsettias and hang Christmas wreaths on the door. In my head I know it’s just too early for Christmas but then I think why not, why be so cynical? It’s just a few plants.
