Hemyca AW14 at London Fashion Week - 'Neoteric'

I've known Helen Clinch and Myra Nigris since they first launched Hemyca in 2009. For it's 9th season Hemyca has unveiled its most accomplished collection yet - they've taken their best elements and clearly defined their brand.  This AW14 they showed at the BFC Canon Cinema and Presentation Space at Somerset House. Think structural silhouettes, precise tailoring in monochrome, midnight blue and silver with an unexpected combinations of fabric. Lace, feather, leather and PVC + luxury tailoring creates a powerful silhouette - it doesn't shout but it's not understated either - it's a  perfect combination. The film for the presentation, directed by Chris Butler, created a dark romantic  and mysterious mood. Shot in black and white there was a huge crow, a dark horse and women falling but with no fear, in all the darkness of the film there was a serenity which reflects Hemyca perfectly.
