Fashion Shows 2013!

imageThis past year I've styled so many shows and each time I've had a wonderful backstage fashion team - there is nothing more important than having a super professional team backstage for a show (one weak person can spoil everything).I've styled fashion shows that have anywhere from 25 looks over to over 300 looks - so the amount of work is huge, and I just really wanted to thank my backstage teams, from all my amazing assistants to all the dressers! So often we underestimate how important the dresser is at a fashion show but they are essential and the show really wouldn't happen without them. Working backstage is often an entry point for a fashion intern. I think most students thinks that it's going to be easy, not realizing the pressure and the responsibility that goes into creating a show. They forget or don't know that a designer can work anywhere from six months to several years  creating a collection. At a fashion show it's the responsibility of the backstage team to make sure the looks are as the designer intended them to be - that they are buttoned up correctly, are not on back to front - it might sound simple but it's all about the details!Thank you to my wonderful backstage teams!!! Happy 2014!imageimage20130420-142151.jpgimage
