Knomo has just re-branded! They launched in London in 2004 and have just opened a shop and showroom just behind Oxford Circus. They are a bag company where fashion and function meet and even their name is a fusion of the words: knowledge and mobility. They’ve rebranded using the symbol of the fox to represent the brand being well-travelled and intelligent. Knomo has two types of bags, some are more for the technical consumer and the second collection is more fashion forward. Every detail about the bag is considered. The weight of the bags is very important as when you have a laptop or iPad plus a pair of shoes etc. – it’s important that the bag doesn’t dig into your shoulders. It’s hard for a business woman to find a practical computer bag that doesn’t look boring but Knomo has quite a good selection and most of the bags don’t even look like computer bags. The have a padded compartment for your laptop so that you don’t even have to add an extra cover for it. One of the things that I like most about the bags is all the inside pockets – it keeps me quite organized. They have large consumer base equally of men and women. Their challenge is to keep up with the ever-changing sizes of laptops, mini iPads etc.
Knomo are stocked in The Apple Store, Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols
