Harnett & Pope Pop-Up Shop

Today feels like the first day of Spring - it's almost 18C - so like many people I felt like a bit of shopping and headed out to Brick Lane. I met Christy Harnett and Katie Pope, the designers behind the London-based label Harnett & Pope at their pop up shop on Brick Lane. I happened to be their first customer and bought this tie-dye t-shirt with a chiffon sleeve.

It's fun to look at bright colours while the sun is shining and the birds are chirping.

Christy and Katie met at Nottingham Trent University and Katie was a runner-up in the 2005 FAD Competition. Since graduation Christy has worked in the print department for Topshop as well as being the designer/manager at Nico D. Katie worked as a pattern cutter and sample machinist for various London-based labels and in 2011 they set up Harnett & Pope.

Cropped mohair sweaters are perfect for this time of year.

Their signature style is oversized and easy to wear fluid shapes.
