While in Bath I went to Debenhams to look at H! by Henry Holland while preparing for the Bath In Fashion catwalk show. There are very few London Fashion Week designers that are aimed at the young fashion market, but H! by Henry Holland is: a dress costs about £40 and jeans are £28 soContinue reading

I was quite delighted when Katie Greenyer, the Creative Director, invited me to visit Red or Dead. Red or Dead is part of the Pentland group and the head office is beautiful. It has everything from in-house shopping to a state of the art gym and swimming pool. Plus there are lots of spaces forContinue reading

I’ve been inspired by the warmer weather to start wearing some colour. I feel like I need a bit of colour just to feel like spring is really here! Also after styling Bath in Fashion – for two shows we had almost 400 looks – and so many beautiful florals and lovely bright spring colours.Continue reading

Meadham Kirchhoff is one of those brands that the fashion industry just loves. The AW 2013 collection is beautiful, well thought-out and whimsical. There are influences of Victoriana and the Twenties but it’s all a bit dark and made me think of what prairie girl princess would look like.

In just four years Bath in Fashion has become a very successful and popular event. The catwalk shows are always sold out. This season I had over 200 looks for one of the fashion shows so we had a very busy backstage but fortunately I had a great team as all my dressers were secondContinue reading

Bath is famous for it’s architecture but one must not over look the abundance of cafes and place to have tea. Just around the corner from the Abbey Hotel (where I stayed for part of my stay in Bath) I came aross Sally Lunn’s house – the oldest house in Bath – it’s a uniqueContinue reading

Today feels like the first day of Spring – it’s almost 18C – so like many people I felt like a bit of shopping and headed out to Brick Lane. I met Christy Harnett and Katie Pope, the designers behind the London-based label Harnett & Pope at their pop up shop on Brick Lane. IContinue reading

If you go to Bath it’s worth a visit to The Loft – they not only have a cafe with lots of great cakes they have a new shop called Howl & Wolf. Howl & Wolf tend to stock British designers and keep below the £200 mark with lots of items priced at about £75.Continue reading

We needed some sunny weather so we’ll start spending! I’ve spent the past couple of weeks meeting retailers and listening to them all recount the same story – it’s been an abysmal month and they are not moving their spring stock. Some retailers said that they’ve been able put their orders on hold, others areContinue reading

I had so much fun styling Delilah for Untitled Magazine shot by photographer Andreas Stavrinides. Hair: Elliot Bssilla Make Up: Julia Wilson

I have mixed feelings about tie-dye. Sometime I love it and sometimes I can’t stand it. It really depends on how it’s done and the colour. I’m loving this sweatshirt at Blitz London –  I like the bright colour and that the tie-dye isn’t too uniformly done.

One of my favourite activities at Bath in Fashion is attending the fashion talks and book signings. They’re very intimate and quite personal. Last year I went to see Manolo Blahnik interviewed by Iain R Webb (this picture is from the book signing) and Stephen Jones interviewed by Sarah Mower. Stephen Jones had also curatedContinue reading

Don’t underestimate the power of accessories and jewellery. I love styling accessory and jewellery shoots as accessories can completely change how we wear an outfit. If you learn to accessorize you can get more value for the clothes that you already have as you can get more use out of them. We tend to wearContinue reading

Most of us can’t really afford to own a piece of Dior so the alternative idea of a Dior cupcake might just be what you’re looking for. If you’d like something delectable for a fashion friend these Dior Limited edition Cupcakes at Harrods for £19 might be the perfect gift!

As soon as you see these lovely red lips you know it must be a Lulu Guinness handbag. I use Lulu Guinness handbags in styling shoots and for celebrities. They’re so cute and not heavy like some bags. Lulu Guinness OBE has been making handbags for over 25 years and her signature is these lovelyContinue reading

Sketch is quite a trendy restaurant in London attracting the fashion crowd and tourists alike. I like going there for afternoon tea as it’s located just off Regent Street – very central. Eventually you will make your way to the loos. There are two very different style bathrooms at Sketch. The most novel is theContinue reading
