Kate Nash created the Kate Nash’s Rock & Roll After School Club For Girls about 1 1/2 years ago. The project has been a labour of love but it’s really more than that. Kate is changing the way young girls look at themselves and the music industry. Only 14% of songwriters in the UK that receive PRS are women so the aim of this project is to teach young girls that they can write and perform their own music. For the end of year Gala about 30 young girls performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. For many of them it was their first time onstage and backstage was emotional and exciting and so much fun!
