Manish Arora Paris SS13

20120927-133310.jpgI haven't seen a Manish Arora show since he left London. He first showed in London in 2005 but had already previously shown in India and Hong Kong. I was fortunate enought to see his SS13 show in Paris at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris and it was quite a packed house. For the most part it was a room full of fashion insiders and buyes and there was an air of excitement around the show.  In this collection Manish pays tribute to India. There is lots of gold and ornamentation and a very new and fresh take on traditional dress. There was beautiful jewellery worn on the face, large bracelets on each arm and gold wedges that just worked effortlessly together. When I think of Manish Arora I do expect embroidery, embellishment and sequins - I know I'm going to be wowed. I love the dream of fashion, and It definitely had that with all the embellishment - but there was also some thing very accessible, an ease about this collection.20120927-182121.jpg20120927-133418.jpg20120927-133451.jpg20120927-133507.jpg20120927-133532.jpg20120927-134437.jpg20120927-133646.jpg20120927-134446.jpg20120927-134513.jpg20120927-174539.jpg20120927-174555.jpg20120927-174608.jpg20120927-174651.jpg20120927-180417.jpg20120927-180343.jpg20120927-134417.jpg
