London Collection: Men - Stefan Orschel Read SS13

I've known Stefan Orschel Read for quite a few years and I'm a huge fan of his work. This collection is grown up, it's clever, intelligent and wearable. Stefan has always been a great pattern cutter - this season you notice the innovative detail as everything is more subtle.

Orschel Read explains "one thing I went with was the idea of exploring the concept of show piece, without added big dramatic shapes... it is still flattering tailoring and complex pattern cutting."

One of the suit jacket's collar is made out of a pleat so that each front jacket panel was cut in one continue piece and many of the jackets have beautiful back seam detailing. There are also folds that hide pockets within. I love the three button shirt collars - it's just very elgelant and hint of bygone era. One of my favourite pieces is the dispersed dye coat, in royal purple.

Fabrics: All the shirting is Sea Island Cotton, the wools are all British or Irish and many of the linen and wools are ethically sourced.

Colour Palette: Royal Purple, heather sallow rose, mango, jade green

Key pieces include tailored jackets, coats, knitted sweaters and city shorts
