The Deception of Cake

is always a bit exciting. I’m a bit bored of the , the is what it is. It always looks nice and tastes ok. I expect more from (or petit fours). The difficulty I have with is that it often looks more beautiful than it tastes. This is the Angelica Gateau from Patisserie Valerie. It’s chocolate roulade sponge with chocolate cream, fresh cream and strawberries. This tastes better than it looks!
