Swarovski Elements Wallpaper Launch
Posted by Rebekah Roy on March 14th, 2011

The Swarovski Elements Wallpaper Launch was one of the most magical events that I’ve been to. It was held at 33 Portland Place where so many amazing events have taken place, and so many film and video projects have been shot – including The Kings Speech.

The house was like a dream, with an amazing array of chocolates and miniature cakes served with champagne by perfectly groomed waiters. Every detail was perfect.

There were rose petals and crystals pouring out of the fireplace, angel wings resting on the settee and a magic flute – it was like you were walking through a dream.

Swarovski Elements is designed by wallpaper designer Karen Beauchamps with the in-house Swarovski Elements team. The collection consists of 9 different styles and retails from £280 to £740 per roll. The designs were quite beautiful and opulent. Several of the designs use a layering technique called the Crystal Strata, which creates an intense and sparkling effect. You can imagine the wallpaper transforming any environment but I also couldn’t help thinking they would make such beautiful backdrops for photo shoots!
