I was invited to the advance screening of Boardwalk Empire in Leicester Square – the show launches in the UK on the new Sky Atlantic HD channel. It’s set in Atlantic City during the early 20’s at the time of prohibition. The pilot cost $30 million, making it the most expensive pilot in history. IContinue reading

It was quite fun to go to the 123 Bethnal Green Road ethical clothing shop and celebrate the launch of Amelia’s Compendium of Fashion Illustration. The book features 30 emerging illustrators alongside interviews with nearly 50 of the most important ethical designers including a couple of designers that I work with such as Prophetic andContinue reading

Stylists don’t often have long lead times to prep a shoot but with a good brief you can prepare well and you’re guaranteed an amazing shoot day. The clothes have to suit the artist or model but really they should inspire the whole team!

I went to see The Receeders play at the Monarch in Camden. It was great to see such a cool band in such an intimate venue.

Lately I’ve noticed a little beauty movement happening from Harpers Bazaar to Louis Vuitton’s latest ad campaign…it’s makeup with disco flavour! Big metallic eyes, lashes that are curled with thick mascara left spiky and layers upon layers of red shimmer lip gloss that’s practically dripping off the lips. I’m totally riding on the metallicContinue reading

I love going to markets and flower markets are just so pretty! You can buy a huge bouquet of roses for £5!

Visiting the Tatty Devine Boutique can be like sugar overload. You want everything as it’s all quite fun and addictive! The moustaches and pipe pieces are very popular! I’m quite partial to the clocks!

It’s good to go out with the girlfriends and just enjoy the simple pleasures in life – like food! I had a wonderful experinece dining at Bistro Fifteen. It’s very pretty without being overly girly. There’s lots of fashion art work on the walls so I felt right at home. It wasn’t just that theContinue reading

How multidisciplinary is your work? My work isContinue reading

Sometimes it’s a pet that makes a shoot just a bit more exciting. This is Amanda Wakely’s lovely dog, Lola. She’s eight years old. Lola was so warm and friendly with everyone and she likes having her picture taken. Somehow you can’t help but like a designer just that little bit extra when they haveContinue reading

I’m feeling peachy-keen on Emma Stone’s look from the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. She’s s starring in the upcoming “Spider-Man 4″ film. The actress looked gorgeous in her Calvin Klein dress and coordinating peachy makeup. I’m a big fan of a tangerine toned blush and the wonders that it can do for a girl andContinue reading

Alice Palmer will be showing her collection on February 22 at Vauxhall Fashion Scout. The collection is looking quite amazing but I can’t tell you too much about it. She’s also just made an outfit for Skin of Skunk Anansie and she did a guerilla knitting project for Fashion 156! There is some amazing graffitiContinue reading

There is so much exciting menswear in London that I’m quite inspired to do menswear shoots! I recently styled a menswear shoot that focused on colour, as not all menswear is black, white and gray! I’m quite looking forward to seeing shows on the menswear day at London Fashion Week.

I ran into Anna while she was visiting art galleries along Brick Lane. I loved her white blond hair, it reminded me of Hally Berry as Storm! Anna also writes a blog called La Clairvoyance.

I’ve known Bishi for a few years and I loved styling her for this shot as she has such a strong look! Bishi is doing a one-off live performance, broadcast direct across the internet for SHOWstudio as part their Florist exhibition. Bishi’s one-off LiveStudio performance will broadcast live from 7:30pm GMT on 20 January 2011.Continue reading

I don’t know any women who actually enjoy bra shopping even though we love lingerie and appreciate a good bra. When I go bra shopping I know it’s important to take some time out. I usually get about 5 or so bras and head towards the fitting room. This time I tried something different. IContinue reading
