Tea with Avsh Alom Gur

I am not the type of person who gets starstruck by celebrities – it’s designers that make me giddy. I’m often in awe of their work and their creative talent. I’ve always loved Avsh Alom Gur’s work and I had the opportunity to visit him in his studio!
His collections are bold, with beautiful fabrics but there is a certain ease about them. Some pieces are so inspiring and whimsical that they belong on stage, but deserve to be worn more than once. Avsh’s signature pieces are the perfect wardrobe staples. He’s a stylist’s designer: he loves it when people wear his designs in different ways, and the Avsh Alom Gur woman is the curator of her wardrobe: she makes his pieces her own, imprinting her personal style on the garments by wearing them in many different ways.

Sometimes I feel like Alice in Wonderland when I visit a designer’s studio. Every designers studio is unique and it’s like an insight to the designer’s world. I felt like a child and wanted to touch and try everything on!
