The Eyebrow is back at London Fashion Week
Posted by Rachel Wood on February 28th, 2010
This past fashion week has been my busiest one yet. Between NY and London I headed up 9 shows and assisted on 6! All in all it was another wonderfully exhausting couple of weeks.
If I could sum up the major trend between them all, it would be the season of the bushy eyebrow! Brows were a key player on various shows from Alice Palmer to Elliot Frieze. They were pushed up and the hairs were gently drawn in to Brooke Shields in the 1980’s style proportions… think Julia Robert’s brows when she first appeared in the film-Mystic Pizza. I think it gave the male models this season a real sexy Robert Pattison in Twilight feel. In Stefan Orschel-Read’s LFW show all of the male models brows were filled in and extended to have a slight samurai warrior feel.
This great news for those who dread their monthly eye brow wax… just let them grow and keep them as animalistic as you like!
