Like most women, I adore shoes. I also adore embellishment and I love nothing more when the two collide. Last week I went to a party in aid of Aruna Seth shoes. The party was at celeb hang-out Whiskey Mist in Mayfair and consisted of pink cocktails, pink cupcakes and dazzling shoes – the perfect night if you ask me.
I’d never seen a pair of Aruna Seth shoes before but it was love at first sight. They are gorgeous and perfect for a special occasion. Some verge slightly on the Paris Hilton side of glitz but perfect for any magpies out there (I’m a self-confessed magpie).
Aruna Seth is a new generation ‘It’ girl and her father founded a footwear empire over forty years ago – very handy. She studied at London College of Fashion and has been surrounded by shoes her whole life and it seemed only natural to start her own collection.
I met Aruna on the night; she was lovely and happy posing for the photographers. She wore a simple black LBD and a pair of glamorous shoes (of course!) The party had a great buzz, a few celebrity guests arrived late in to the evening and cocktails flowed thick and fast.
My personal favourites from the night were the Nia Frills Black satin heels, perfect to dress up with your New Years Eve dress or with jeans for an elegant look. They cost £395.00 but if you weigh the price tag up against the cost per wear I’m sure they will be a worthy investment.
Now I can’t decide whose more at fault for my love of shoes; Cinderella, Carrie Bradshaw or Aruna Seth? Hmmmm…..
The shoes are available in exclusive stores worldwide, including Browns London and Botticelli in New York.
