Now don’t you just wish you were as cool as Zoe Kravitz? With her vintage-chic style and free-spirited personality she is one of my favourite American girls. She’s very New York City, If you’re fluent in Gossip Girl she’s not the prim Blaire character, no way. Nor is she the sexy Serena type she would most definitely be the Vanessa – cool and comfortable with who she is.
Not only is Zoe Kravitz super stylish, super rich and super cool she’s also talented (it must be the genes) She sings in a band Elevator Fight, she acts (next year she’ll star in Twelve with the gorgeous Chace Crawford) and she has taken the beauty world by storm by being the face of Vera Wang Princess perfume.
Last week I had the privilege of going to the press launch of the new Glam Princess perfume, which will take over the original Princess scent and will be available come January. I absolutely love it, it’s very me – i like perfume that’s girly but yet grown up. But that’s what’s great about the Princess fragrances, they have a way of straddling the gap between cute and mature so are totally versatile. Glam Princess, like it’s successor is fun, feminine, original and bursting with energy.
If you’re interested, the scent was composed by perfumers Ilias Ermenidis and Harry Fremont of Firmenich and there are top notes of crushed red berries, juicy guava and sparkling pear. There are heart notes of orange blossom and vanilla orchid and finally the base notes are of warm ambrette, sugary marshmallow and soft cashmere wood. And yes, I did just say sugary marshmallow.
The party was held in Jalouse in the centre of London. The cocktails were pink, the champagne had bubbles aplenty and the tunes were courtesy of DJ duo Queens Of Noise. I had such a cool time with my friend (and colleague) Becs, we laughed and we posed all night long as there were diamonte tiaras for us to try on (well, it would have been rude not to).
On the night the brilliant PR’s at Coty showed us the new advert due to roll out with the release of the perfume, in it Zoe shows off her playful side for her subjects and the camera. She is a true princess dressed in her beautiful Vera Wang ball gown, her jewel encrusted necklace and her whimsical tiara…
Speaking of tiaras… check out me in mine, it isn’t as grand as Zoe’s but I sure did feel like a princess, and a glam one at that.
