Cheryl Cole wears David Koma on The X Factor
Posted by Rebekah Roy on October 31st, 2009
Cheryl Cole wore a dress by designer David Koma on the The X Factor rock ‘n’ roll themed show this Halloween. The piece was from David Koma’s first collection. Vauxhall Fashion Scout picked him as their Merit Award winner, and so just this September David Koma showed his second collection (Spring/Summer 2010) at Vauxhall Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week.
David graduated in March 2009 with distinction in MA Fashion from Central Saint Martins. His graduate collection won Harrods’ Design Award.
You can purchase David Koma’s dresses online at Browns.

I love the dress in the context of the catwalk but it really didn’t work on Saturday night tv - I wonder why this is? Perhaps it requires a different body shape than Cheryl Cole and in a different context. Maybe someone taller and more angular at a gallery viewing?
