Becks Appeal

OH. MY. GOD Check out David Beckham and his pants. Just when you think ‘Pah,David Beckham he’s like soooo 1998’ he goes and wows us with his new advertising campaign for Emporio Armani.

Yesterday at lunch time he unveiled the advertising campaign at Selfridges in London, where girls flocked like moths to a burning, red-hot flame. And who can blame them? He looked absolutely gorgeous.

Wearing a navy single-breasted Armani suit Beckham looked slightly flustered with all the female attention. Ah bless him.

Giorgio Armani says of Beckham, “David has a great sense of style and is an inspiring role model – this is what makes him the perfect partner for Emporio Armani underwear. I am very excited that David Beckham’s new campaign image was unveiled exclusively in his home country and where better than at such an iconic retail destination as Selfridges.”

Right, now let’s talk about the advert, the 34-year-old LA Galaxy and Milan star poses stripped to black pants, with a rope coiled around his waist. His hair is slicked down to the max and is side-parted. The image is gorgeous but leaves very little to the imagination (not that I’m complaining mind!)

The image was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott renowned fashion photographers who are also responsible for the images of Victoria Beckham for Armani.

And you’ll never guess what? Whilst Becks was seeing to his adoring fans Victoria was inside Selfridges shopping to her hearts’ content. Well, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do…
