I’m a girl who likes a good sale and I just love the British car boot sales. The
Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair is in it’s fifth year and it’s a fusion of fashion, art and cars! How fabulous is that?
The fantastic art car commissions have been selected by Karen Ashton, who has been putting on bespoke art events for over a decade now. Rubbish Magazine will be turning a black Vauxhall Corsa into a giant designer handbag - I can’t wait to see this! The lovely Natasha Law will transfer her sexy line drawings of delicate feminine shapes onto the contours of a Vauxhall Astra Sport Hatch! William Tempest is selling limited edition mugs - naturally I want one or maybe two of these! Donald Urquhart and Studio Voltaire will transform a Vauxhall Astra TwinTop, covering it in decorations inspired by the cult 1970s documentary Grey Gardens whilst performing “Revolutionary Costume for Today” and encouraging others to join him. it should just be a fun day but be aware of the Rubbish magazine fashion police!!

Address: Old Truman Brewery, 146 Brick Lane, London, E1
Tickets: £3
Opening Hours: June 14th 12-6pm
Public Information: artcarbootfair.com
