Estelle & Jonathan Kelsey for Belvedere Vodka – The Belvie Bag
Posted by Rebekah Roy on May 10th, 2009
Shoe designer Jonathan Kelsey and the super stylish singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer Estelle have collaborated with Belvedere Vodka to create The Belvie bag.
Jonathan Kelsey is one of the most important and exciting designers of his generation. He already has a huge following including celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Kylie Minogue, Estelle and Amy Winehouse.
Everyone who works at Jonathan Kelsey seems super nice and unpretentious! They loaned us shoes for William Tempest’s show.
Jonathan graduated from Central St Martins in 1996 and in 2001 he joined Jimmy Choo, where he spent four years developing his distinctive style before choosing to work as a freelance creative. Jonathan went on to design for Cacharel and Gina, and collaborated with Giles Deacon and Luella for various catwalk projects. He also designs shoe collections for Mulberry and Emilio Pucci.
The bag, called The Belvie, is crafted from the finest white leather. The bag is designed for the chic party girl who goes out all night but is prepared to go straight to work for her 7am meeting. It’s the bag that doesn’t look like an overnight bag!
The bag also features a secret compartment for a bottle of Belvedere Black Raspberry! Yum, who can resist a good cocktail!

UPDATE:
I didn’t realize this, but there are only 100 of the bags in existence! They’re US$1400, and available only at Jeffery NY and a popup store in London, at 100 Mount Street, London, W1.

I’ve seen that this charity auction website has got Disney ‘Mickey Ears’ up for auction designed by Estelle and other celebs and designers to help raise money for charity. The Mickey Ears are being exhibited in Brix Smith-Start’s boutique START, London. Here’s the link if anyone wants a look,
