Summer Florals
Posted by Rebekah Roy on April 13th, 2009
I love floral dresses. They never go out of style and they are always in fashion. So why is that? Well it isn’t really about trends - it’s about spring, flowers and summer weddings. This is just part of nature and so many trends are weather inspired. So every year the fashion pack creates new shapes and styles, different colour palettes and reinvents the floral dress.
A summer floral dress is just a staple and you don’t have to spend a fortune to be on trend. Monsoon always has lots of occasion dresses but you just don’t have to save a floral dress for something special. Think about showing off your shape - look for dresses that nip in at the waist. This water lily dress is only £60 from Monsoon.
This Corset Dress is from Top Shop for £50. Throw on a jean jacket to rock up the look as you want to avoid a prissy look. Give your florals an edge: wear them over a skinny jeans and pile on the jewels!

I love this yellow rose print dress from Forever 21, and it’s only $24.80 USD! Add a contrasting belt - nothing too matchy matchy unless you’re going for a Paris Hilton look!
Most importantly, make a floral dress your own. You never need to worry if you see someone wearing the same dress as long as you’ve taken the time to give the look your own personal style!
