Even Makeup Artists Need Facials

OK, to say I've been feeling exhausted would be an understatement- I was the head of 9 shows and managed to squeeze in a photo shoot with Pete Doherty in the 5 days of London Fashion week. I was then hoping to catch some rest after but then had 4 days of photo shoots, so needless to say I was feeling a little exhausted and definitely over thinking about makeup.

So finally when I was able to grab a day I headed to the ultimate luxury destination... well one that I could get to in 30 minutes outside of London- I went to the Spa at the Penny Hill Hotel in Surrey and oh boy was this the ultimate place to relax. I floated in the outdoor Jacuzzi, swam lengths in the pool which played music underwater, steamed myself in the various aroma steam rooms and cooled myself off in the chilled room with its ice walls. I also had a breath of pure air- facial and scalp treatment. This hour long treatment was to de-stress and detox my skin, I was looking a little lacklustre after my crazy few weeks of work but after the various, scrubs, masks and massages I left glowing, gleaming and totally chilled out! Ready to take on what ever new work comes my way. The products they used smelled sweet and delicious enough to eat- the moisturiser had the hint of the smell of peaches. All the facials at Penny Hill use Terraké products. Any one interested in taking a time out and re-charging their batteries in style
