I’m so looking forward to styling William Tempest’s show tonight! I love the ticket, it reminds me of the winning ticket from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

Ok, so it’s smack in the middle of London Fashion Week and although this makeup artist is uber busy running around prepping the rest of her shows, I had to give you all a few little inside snippets from yesterdays Qasimi show- it was so glamour fabulous that I was still buzzing when I woke up this morning!
First lets take the model line up- you couldn’t swing a handbag backstage without swiping a super model-YasminYasmin LeBon, Jasmine Guinness, Jaquetta Wheeler, Erin O’Conner, Lily Cole, Liberty Ross, Jade Parfit… every model was of super- spectacular status- made this pint sized 5′2 makeup artist feel mini. And they were truly some of the most lovely women I’ve had the pleasure to work with- super nice.
My makeup team were briefed on the look- red carpet glamour with a vamp- Hollywood feel- strong eyes or lips- a palette of neutrals- greys, chocolates for the eyes but a few splashes of gold or a drop of silver to lift the look- and of course to match the thousands of pounds of diamonds they were dripped in! Or the ladies had vibrant red lips matched with a flick of liquid black liner, all had some sort of added false lash and a touch of shimmer applied to the tops of their chizzled cheekbones for a highlight. I can’t wait for the photos to hit Vogue.co.uk!
The collection was pure black- a very popular choice it seems for a lot of this seasons designers. And to add that extra bit of special treatment there was a food trolley back stage filled with everything from mini chocolate dessert cups, veggies pots with Hummus, tropical fruit to white chocolate covered strawberries. Qasimi is a high end luxury label and they delivered. It was such a pleasure to be the head of this show and my makeup team was pretty fab too!
Qasimi are two designers – Khalid bin Sultan AlQasimi and Elliott J. Frieze.

Styling a group show is never an easy task but "The Ones to Watch" went very smoothly. All our designers were well organized and most of our models arrived early. The show before us was running late – which meant we had plenty of time, so we were off to a good start!
We had four very different designers. First there was Studio-805, men’s and women’s by Andrew Bannister – everything is red and white including the eyes – contact lenses! Then we have the lovely Kumiko Watari of the Migh-T, knitwear specialist Alice Palmer, who’s hats no one can resist and ethical men’s and women’s designer Lu Flux. Interestingly enough every collection had a few hats!
I’m not even sure how many hair and make up assistants there were but the room was packed! Tony and Guy did the hair and Rachel Wood for Benefit did the make up. The call time for our show was 4 hours before show time so everyone had to work efficiently and as a team. You’d think with four different designers with four completely different looks it would be a challenge but we all had one common goal – we wanted the show to go well- and it did! I’ll post some images of the catwalk show once I receive them.

I saw two images from two shows I styled last season on wall in the Canon VIP room! On the left is Harriet’s Muse and on the right is Inbar Spector. I actually use a Canon camera for Stylist Stuff and I can print wireless images, which I use like a polaroid for my shows!

Ada Zandition is part of London Fashion Week’s Estethica – a showcase for eco-sustainable designers now in its sixth season. I can’t wait to see it. There’s so much discussion about ethical design – people wanting something more fashion forward – well this is it!

These images our from the look book shoot. We did two shoots as Ada has a ready to wear collection and a couture collection.
