The Thomas Vicary A/W 09 Collection at Home House

Thomas Vicary, winner of the prestigious 2006 Lancome Colour Design Award for Innovation, showed his new collection at Home House. I loved Thomas' Central Saint Martins graduate collection in 2006 and his collection for Oli so I was looking forward to the show!Tanqueray Gin pink drinks were flowing and it was a fashionable and enthusiastic crowd! I love a salon show - but it's not easy for young models! Often they're looking down watching their feet but it's kind of charming, and as the show continues they become more and more confident. The colour palette is red, black, and rust dresses nipped in at the waist. Zips, raw edges and sheer fabrics give the tailored feminine dresses an edge. A shredded black jacket was a hit, along with some sheer trousers. Lots of oohs and ahhs from the crowd! The make-up was fresh and clean with great hair. Wella Professionals worked alongside Thomas to create a very sculptured look, which worked well with the silhouette of the clothes. You just have to wonder with designers showing off schedule - will they get the attention that they deserve?
