Simple Shoes are basically sustainable shoes that you can live with.
These trainers have silk gingham uppers and I really like the sheen on them! They also have organic cotton linings, recycled PET laces (laces that used to be soda bottles!) and outsoles that used to be a car tire. The product detail is great on this site and they have six different views of the shoes!

These shoes, called Retire, are made with recycled bike tires and with certified organic cotton. I wore a pair all day and found them pretty comfy. I do feel a bit limited with what to wear with flat shoes especially since I mainly wear dresses. For work they are great as I spend most of the day standing and they feel like slippers!
