Music on A Summer Evening
Posted by Rebekah Roy on August 6th, 2006
Went to see violinist Ruth Palmer perform last night. Ruth wore a strapless white gown and look radiant when she performed. She reminds me a bit of a dragon fly when she plays, as the bow moves so quickly, so fast. It was a magical evening, it took place at Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath. Ruth did mention to bring a blanket and a picnic, but I had no idea what a charming evening we were in for. Another reason to love M&S is you can pre order you picnic on line for your event.
Most people were casually dressed although lots of women wore timeless summer dresses carrying woven baskets and then the occasional gent in a tux would stroll by.

And then of course fire works to end the evening! It’s nice to go to an event the feels so quintessentially English. Many people brought little lantern for when it got dark.

It’s nice walking back to Hampstead tube with hundreds of people that you don’t know, you just don’t feel so alone.
