Link: Japan’s prime ministerial hopefuls vie at fashion show – World – Times Online.

Yuriko Koike, the Environment Minister, is backing a campaign to have businesspeople abandon their jackets and ties during ’s stifling summer months. The aim is to keep office air-conditioning set at 28C (82F) – and thus cut carbon dioxide emissions.
